Junior Grants

Charteris Bay Yacht Club have a grant pool of $1000 annually to be distributed to junior sailors that have been selected to represent New Zealand at international competitions. Individual sailors can apply for a portion of this pool, of a maximum of $250 each. Applications need to be made in writing by 31st May each year to the CBYC committee (commodore@cbyc.co.nz). All applicants must be current financial members of CBYC.

Charteris Bay Yacht Club are very grateful for the generous support of Min Sarginson Real Estate for the annual support for this fund. The hardship fund was set up to assist junior sailors whose family may be struggling to maintain their involvement in the sport due to personal circumstances and financial constraints. Committed club members who have played and active role within the club and training programs and for whom circumstances may preclude ongoing involvement are eligible to apply to the committee who distribute this fund on behalf of our sponsor Min Sarginson.
